I die for roleswap AUs! I've literally never met an interpretation of warlock!Alec that I didn't like.
Deruned!Alec AUs are also a guilty pleasure of mine, or just Mundane!Alec in general.

As for more specific prompts:
- I love omega!Alec/alpha!Magnus, or, barring that, alpha!Alec/alpha!Magnus; I would be interested in seeing the two of them share a heat/rut before either was really ready -- at least, ready for that level of intimacy/perceived commitment -- and then having to deal with the fallout from it.
- Magnus accidentally creating an aphrodisiac while messing around with potions/something going wrong with magic leading to Magic Made Them Do It, etc.
- Competence Kink leading to public/semi-public sex (or potentially exhibitionism) during or directly a mission/fight
Jace/Simon

I've always thought that I'd love to see Jace written as an omega in A/B/O fic; I think the way he'd do anything for those he loves really speaks of that to me. For other AUs, Spy!Jace and Quartermaster!Simon (let's be real, I mean Bond and Q) is basically my dream AU for these two.
In general: badass Simon! Jace is kidnapped by a Big Bad and Simon comes to the rescue, or Jace is stuck on a case/mission and Simon gives him the breakthrough, or Simon is attacked and Jace is frantic when he hears but Simon manages to defend himself and is only adorably rumpled when Jace gets there.
This ship is peak enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, which is a dynamic I really love, so feel free to play that up as much as you want. Relatedly, I love anything in the vein of arranged marriage, accidental marriage, marriage of convenience -- anything where they're in a relationship first and only learn to love each other afterward. :') And bickering! Allllllll the bickering! Bickering that turns into an accidental love confession! Bickering when you should really be focusing on stabbing a demon! Bickering while everyone else around you rolls their eyes and wonders when you'll just kiss already!

Prompts:
- Omega!Jace -- especially secret omega!Jace -- going into an unexpected heat, and alpha! or beta!Simon having to help him through it. (Or, for that matter, omega!Simon -- I'm not super picky.) Bonus points for bratty Jace, Dom/sub undertones, and the whole thing leading to the realization of mutual pining.
- Bickering turns into flirting turns into Simon realizing he's a little bit more dominant than he'd given himself credit for/Jace is a bratty sub and doesn't want to admit it.
- For "Bad Guys Think They Made Them Do It But Really Just Enabled Them," I think a really neat idea would be Camille (or similar) telling/"forcing" Simon to encanto Jace, Simon only pretending to do it and Jace playing along -- just long enough for him to have a chance to get them out of there, of course.
Voltron: Legendary Defender: Keith/Shiro

I'm not necessarily opposed to the main events of s8 being included/referenced, but I very much don't want to see the epilogue included at all. Sorry, Curtis. Other than that, though, domestic post-series fluff is good; domestic married post-series fluff is even better.

College AUs are great! Any form of supernatural/occult/creature AUs are great! Fantasy AUs are great! I also LOVE fairytale retellings, and generally I'm not picky about who takes what role in such things (i.e., is Keith Cinderella and Shiro the prince or vice versa). If you have a favorite fairytale and think you could possibly slap Sheith in there, I'd love to read it.

When it comes to A/B/O or D/s, or even just regular ol' topping and bottoming, I don't have firm opinions here either way; I've read and enjoyed basically any possible combination. That said, I don't like weepy bottom Keith.

I'm definitely fine with pre-Kerberos content in all its forms (other than what's listed in my general DNWs above, i.e. extreme underage, depending on how you interpret/hc their ages)!

And, finally, I love trans!Keith headcanons (or trans!Shiro, for that matter, though I just don't see as much of that).

Prompts:
- Gentle/service Dom Shiro helping Keith unwind after a BOM mission/exam at the Garrison/Intergalactic Diplomatic Meeting(TM)/etc. goes less-than-well.
- Keith getting fucked by multiple Shiros (i.e. Shiro, Kuron, Sven -- and/or pre-Kerb Shiro, s1 Shiro, s7/8 Shiro, etc.)
- Bratty sub/sugar baby Keith walking all over sugar daddy Shiro right up until Shiro decides he's had enough
Keith/Kuron/Shiro

This is definitely a little bit of an angstier zone in general. I'm fine with pretty much any explanation you can come up with for having Shiro and Kuron in the same place in canon. Given that incest or anything approaching incest is a squick for me, I'd rather keep this canonverse unless you come up with some AU setting/explanation other than having Shiro and Kuron as twins.

Prompts:
- Kuron fucking Keith while Shiro listens/watches -- either with or without Keith knowing
- Kuron and Shiro competing re:who can give Keith the most orgasms/to be his dom/to be his sub/for 'rights' to him
- Keith being with/dating/fucking Kuron as a stand-in for/to hide his pining for Shiro
Check Please!: Nursey/Dex

I love (love, love) trans!Dex, and trans/gnc headcanons for these two in general. (And, I mean, for anything, really, just. You know. *waves hands* I thought I'd mention it.) I do sometimes see Nursey/Dex fic that turns more into Dex-bashing than anything else, and I would really, really not like to see that, especially given that I have a tendency to project onto Dex... pretty hard.

Anything that plays on the enemies-to-friends-to-lovers dynamic will be very appreciated, but I'm also fine with -- especially in AUs -- skipping straight to the part where they're already fond of each other. :')

Prompts:
- Nursey edging Dex by seeing how long he can ride him before Dex comes
- Dex has had one night stands/FWB relationships before, but due to fear of being outed in his hometown, never dated anyone before coming to Samwell -- and, since he got to Samwell, has had a couple of casual boyfriends who he didn't have sex with (either 'just because'/it just didn't work out that way, or because he was insecure, or for some other reason). He's nervous when he and Nursey have sex for the first time after they start dating because he's never fucked a boyfriend before.
- Nursey thinks Dex is putting a sock on the door because he's having people over, and then accidentally discovers it's because he's been working as a camboy to help pay for school.
- Bratty sub/brat Dex just, like, in general.
Bitty/Jack

I'm hugely into sub!Jack -- not necessarily bottom!Jack, though I'm fine with bottom!Jack, but Jack and Bitty building a D/s aspect into their relationship to help Jack deal with day-to-day stresses (or just because they enjoy it! or both!) hits me right where I live.

Of course, given that it's these two, I'm also more than here for soft, fluffy, feelings-y, romantic vanilla smut; post-Stanley Cup "oh my god I'm so proud of you" sex, returning-from-a-road-trip "I missed you so much" sex, lazy-Saturday-morning "waking up beside you is all I ever wanted" sex, etc. I love their love, basically, haha.

Winter 2019 Biannual Bibliothon TBR

This is going to be my first time actually making a really serious attempt at a readathon! I've sort of half-heartedly done a few here and there, but I don't think I've ever finished more than one book. Hopefully that changes now!

Given that the readathon is happening right on top of the start of the spring semester, I'm only challenging myself to read about... well, three-ish books total, given that two of them are already in progress. (Is that cheating? That's almost definitely cheating. Oh well. I'm in the middle of too many books right now to justify starting a bunch of new ones without finishing a couple first.) I also took one look at the challenges and decided I'd be better off reading things that I already have on my shelf, though some of the challenge books do sound really interesting (everyone and their mother has recommended Strange the Dreamer to me at this point, it feels like).

We'll see how this goes! I'd really like to at LEAST get through the two Temeraire books, and hopefully the whole list, if I can manage it on top of school and work and writing commitments. Fingers crossed!

This has been a long fucking time coming - way too long, if he's being honest - but even after so many years of waiting and expectancy, now that it's here he can't quite wrap his head around it. It's crazy loud, the combined euphoria of the fans and the guys and the uncountable people watching from TVs around the globe somehow all pouring in and rocking the decibel level until it's kind of hard to actually make out individual sounds, for a moment. Everyone's sort of screaming and slamming each other into hugs and Nate's lost track of who, exactly, he's clinging on to, who's shouting a garbled mixture of exhilarated babble and hoarse epithets into his ears; really, though, it doesn't quite matter, yet. He has a dim feeling that it'll matter eventually, but for now he's more than content to just be a part of a team of people pinballing off one another almost at random in pure, unadulterated glee.

They eventually get lined up for handshakes, and that's a long blur of back-slapping and rough comments about how it was a good fucking series - which it was, it absolutely was, and the reminders of that are everywhere: the Pepsi Center is packed to the gills, fans from both sides painting the stands an array of vivid colors, and he skates out the end of the handshake line to be pulled into another round of hugs and people ruffling his hair and shouting about that gorgeous fuckin' goal from the first period, and he's thanking them and saying it all back: you lit it up out there, that was one hell of a save back in the second, you're fucking incredible, man. There's that familiar, ever-present feeling of - team, and family, and it's heady and amazing, but it's been long enough now, he's distant enough from the immediate afterglow of the final buzzer, that there's one person he wants to see, and he's just about to pull out of a hug and turn to look when he hears it over the loudspeaker, just snatches of noise amid the cacophony - "…onn Smythe… to Jonathan Drouin."

He spins around so fast at that that he hears one of the guys nearest to him laughing at him with both affection and mocking, but he so totally doesn't care - he's caught up in the image of Jo accepting the trophy, grin so wide his face looks like it's about to split in half, and skating slowly back over to the team with it clutched in his arms like it's a baby. Precious cargo, Nate thinks with just a touch of hysteria, and laughs even as he shoves through the revelry to go out and meet him.

They meet just on the edge of where the team - their team - is still crowded in disorganized euphoria, Nate slowing down to knock gently into Jo's shoulder, very cognizant of the trophy in his arms, and beaming at him, hoping his expression conveys even a fraction of the pride and ecstasy he's feeling. Based on the look he gets in return, he's pretty confident it does, and the two of them just stand there together for a long moment, swaying slightly into each other's space and basking in the aura of pure joy that's filling up the entire rink, pouring out of their teammates and all of the fans and the coaches and everyone else in here, and centering up in the two of them until it's all Nate can do not to lean over and plant one right in the middle of Jo's huge, toothy, exuberant smile in front of God and Lord Stanley and everyone. Later, he reminds himself, and instead he just leans in and knocks their foreheads together gently. He's vaguely aware of the fact that there are still thousands of eyes on them, and this probably looks kind of suspect, and he's definitely aware that if any of the guys pull themselves away from their own celebrations for long enough to figure out what's happening with their new Conn Smythe recipient, neither of them will even hear the end of this, but honestly? He doesn't give even a single solitary fuck.

"Hey," Jo says, and Nate refocuses, blinking down into a face that's almost more familiar than his own at this point, and he feels himself break into a huge grin all over again, meeting Jo watt for watt and sneaking a hand between them to sock him lightly in the shoulder.

"Hey," he echoes, and they spend one more moment like that, off in their own little world even in the middle of the incredible sensory overload that comes with a Cup win, drinking in one another's happiness and listening to the thrum of the arena all around them. But then they hear the announcer start up again, concluding with, "Ladies and Gentlemen, your Colorado Avalanche," and Gabe's skating over with the Stanley goddamn Cup held above his head, and they break apart, but only so they can skate back over to their team side by side.

summary: It's so much more intense now that Jason's here - it's one thing, after all, to know that he was searching for a spectre, that his father had told him in his own convoluted way that the kid in the old leather jacket had left the building, but it's another to see the fully realized proof that somehow, some way, the kid in the old leather jacket had stuck his middle finger to death and climbed out all on his own.
comments: when i outlined this fic, the outline was titled "jason todd is dead: the man. the fic. the legend", and i think that's very important.

this is the third part of a series and also a very, very belated birthday fic for tumblr user mooitstimdrake. sorry, moo, so so sorry. but, um, at least it's finally here? ugh.

also, a lot of handwaving when it comes to timeline, and especially when it comes to inclusion of pjo/hoo characters, since i wanted to keep the focus more on the batboys and not go into too much detail, so. and also i've... very much never been to new york city, so.
